Flames of Blames

Is Ajmal Kasab an Ambassador of Pakistan? If it is so, then what about Kashmir Singh. They are the Indians by birth. Do they also represent the Indian Government? The fact is that the terrorists have no identity. They own nothing, neither a religion nor a region. Be it an old man or an innocent child, a fairy-like little girl or a helpless woman, it makes them no difference. Their only aim and object is to promote harassment and fear. For the last many years, a very obvious change was being observed between the relations of Pakistan and India. The two countries were coming closer. Things were proceeding towards a cordial settlement.

The increasing trade and commerce, the cultural exchange programme and so many other friendly affairs were breeching the gulf between the two countries. But the horrible Mumbai blasts at once shattered and scattered all dreams of love and harmony. Who is going to get benefit of this changing scenario; Pakistan or India or someone else? Surprisingly the people of the two countries are yet not affected by the official hue and cry in this regard. They are still the same as they were before the Mumbai blasts. Although the Indian government is trying her best to create a war-like atmosphere yet she is unsuccessful in convincing the Indian people that Pakistanis are their enemy.

India is not our enemy; as said the ISI chief in one of his recent statements talking to a news channel; our enemies are the terrorists. The statement of the ISI Chief no doubt reflects the positive and friendly approach of the whole of Pakistani nation but the question arises, who are the terrorists; what are their objectives and how can we put a check on them. After the Mumbai blasts, we the Pakistanis are continuously in a state of turmoil. From Manmohan Singh to Pranab Mukerji, all Indian hi-ups seem impatient to blame and frame Pakistan in a baseless manner for this brutal bloody action. Some times they try to establish a link between Ajmal Qassab and Pakistan and sometimes a relation between programmers of the Mumbai blasts and the Jamat-ad-Dawa. But still there is no proof that Ajmal Qassab and the Jamat-ad-Dawa represent Pakistan. This situation is no doubt very agonizing for the people of Pakistan. We, the Pakistanis can very well imagine the pain and agony of all such brutal happenings like the Mumbai blasts because they are not novel to us. We have been the worst victim of all this for the last many years. That is why we feel painfully tortured and tormented when someone tries to fix up us, as a nation, in any act of terrorism.

The Indian government is impatiently blaming Pakistan for the Mumbai blasts in an insane manner. Might be this all eagerness is to pacify the Indian nation who is insistently questioning the credibility of the Indian law enforcing agencies. The Indian rulers and the RAW officials are foolishly mistaken that by pointing their fingers towards Pakistan, they could burden off all their responsibilities. This time it would be next to impossible to calm down the Indian people by presenting lame excuses .The Mumbai Blasts have compelled the Indian nation to ponder over so many veiled aspects of the Indian democratic society. They are gradually getting to the conclusion that whatever happened in Mumbai was purely indigenous, all without any foreign ingredient. Ajmal Qassab could be a Pakistani by birth but that does not mean he represents Pakistan. In the last few years, there had been so many examples that the Indian citizens were found involved in acts of terrorism in Pakistan , but the government of Pakistan never tried to blame India for their activities. According to the reports Ajmal Qassab was arrested form Katmandu after a joint action of the Indian and the Nepalese law enforcing agencies in 2006 with his four companions. Last time he was reported to be in the custody of the Indian agencies. No case and no complaint regarding his activities came to the surface during this period and now in November, 2008, he at once appeared like a shining star in the Mumbai blasts. It seems that he might be working for RAW during all that period planning for the Mumbai blasts.

The Mumbai blasts seem a very well designed plan of the Indian law enforcing agencies because these blasts have provided them a golden chance of penalizing the already crushed Muslim minority of India. Just after the blasts so many Muslims have been arrested in the name of investigations. The Muslims in India are constantly in a state of fright after the blasts. Reports say that on the one hand the Indian law enforcing agencies are digging for the culprits not only in India but also in the Jammu & Kashmir and on the other hand they are blaming Pakistan. They are targeting the Mujahideens of Kashmir Freedom Movement & J.K.L.F. These blasts proved a double-edged sword for them. They are using it for defaming Pakistan and the ISI as well as for crushing the Kashmir movement which is now a days rising to its natural climax. A few days before the Mumbai blasts, the President of Pakistan Mr.Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the need of good working relationship between the two countries. He hoped that one day the citizens of both the countries would be able to travel across without the formalities of visa and passport. His positive approach reflected the cordial feelings of the whole of Pakistan, but it seems that the Indian authorities did not like this approach of him. The Mumbai Blasts could be an attempt to increase the gulf between the two countries which was expected to be breeched after Zardari’s statement. As per Indian tradition, the Indian officials, the Indian army, the Indian politicians and the Indian media started blaming Pakistan and its Intelligence agencies just after the Mumbai Blasts. Various stories were concocted, disinformation dispelled regarding the involvement of Pakistan in this cruelly brutal incident but all without any solid proof. It is something very strange that a country itself facing the worst outcome of terrorism is being held responsible for doing terrorist activities in another country. All this is nothing but a hostile propaganda. It is just an attempt to keep the fake accusation vibrant and provide false information to key communicators and world opinion makers. The same attitude was adopted when there was a suicidal attack on the Indian Embassy at Kabul few months ago. Indian media had tried its best to frame the ISI in Kabul bombing but it all proved a cat dog story.

India has always been a paradise for the criminal gangs and the gangsters for so many years. There are more than 174 staggering terrorist, insurgent and extremist groups in India, many of them are little known. Manipur is the most fertile area with reference to these gangs, having more than 40 groups. There are 36 in Assam, 32 in Jammu & Kashmir and 30 in Tripura, according to a report by South Asia Terrorism Portal. Punjab is home to 12 terror groups, Meghalaya houses 4, Nagaland 3, Mizoram 2 and Arunachal Pradesh one. All these terrorist groups have strong connections with the law-enforcing agencies. They are fully supported and sheltered by the police and some of them by the Indian Army. This survey list also includes pan-India Left-Wing groups like the People’s War Group and the Communist Party of India-Maoist Movement. There is also the presence of extremist groups like Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and The Deendar Anjuman. All these groups have their own grievances and their own confrontations and conflicts with one another. Different reports confirm the RAW insurgence in these criminal or political activist groups.

It is said that all these groups are always in a state of war, incessantly fighting for supremacy and authority in their own spheres. The conflict becomes more ruthless when they find another group trying to assault their self-defined territory. Most of the times they start targeting the law enforcing agencies when they feel that some agency is doing undue favors to another group. Unluckily the government of India has never been serious in crushing out these terrorist groups. They have been creating a lot of mess and the Indian government has been putting blame on Pakistan for the entire disturbance created by these groups. The recent Mumbai blasts have exposed the inability and inactivity of all Indian law enforcing agencies. It seems that the Indian police, the intelligence bureau, the Indian army and above all the RAW, no one has been vigilant regarding its responsibilities.

Sorry to say, India itself is self-sufficient with respect to the terrorists and the terrorist activities. What about the Indian army officers arrested for the Samjhota Express bomb attacks and what about the ten officers involved in sexual activities during their stay at Congo as a part of The UN.Peace Mission? Truly speaking, no foreign element needs take pains to sabotage the law and order situation in India. Pakistan has ever been a peace loving country. If Pakistan were a terrorist country, it would never be the US ally in the war against terror.
